Where did the idea of the association come from?
The idea for the Scientific Association for Studies and Applied Research (SASAR) originated in 2022 as an initiative by Dr. Ehab M. Almetwally and a group of founding members in Al-Manzala, Dakahlia, Egtpt. It grew from a clear need to strengthen applied research in the region by creating open platforms for publishing, organising international conferences and workshops, and running practical training in advanced analytical methods and modern software all aimed at improving researchers’ skills, increasing knowledge, and raising awareness of good research practice.

The Scientific Association for Studies & Applied Research (SASAR) is committed to advancing high-quality applied research by promoting its production, dissemination, and practical use across disciplines. The association supports scholarly communication and capacity building through a comprehensive set of activities that include publishing peer-reviewed journals, organizing international conferences and focused workshops, and delivering hands-on training in advanced analytical methods and modern research software. SASAR seeks to enhance researchers’ methodological capabilities, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and contribute to the translation of research evidence into real-world practice and policy. Its work further extends to supporting reproducible research, strengthening peer-review and editorial standards, and fostering partnerships with academic, industry, and policy stakeholders to maximize the societal and scientific impact of applied research.

When and where was it
founded?
The Scientific Association for Studies and Applied Research (SASAR) was established in 2022 at the initiative of Dr. Ehab M. Almetwally.
The Scientific Society for Applied Studies and Research was established in 2022 on the initiative of Dr. Ihab Mohamed El-Metwally and a number of founding members. It was established in Mit Sherif, affiliated to the city of El-Manzala, Dakahlia Governorate, where the society was registered on 6-6-2022 with No. 2866. Since then, the society’s activity has extended to include all parts of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Arab world, by providing scientific activities and services in various fields. The society is subject to the provisions of the Law Regulating the Practice of Civil Work issued by Law No. 149 of 2019.
